Urbana Cycles is a student run bicycle mechanics club and Registered Student Organization at the University of Illinois. All profits earned from the club's activities are reinvested back into the organization as tools, replacement parts, and restoration projects.
Urbana Cycles started when we were incoming university students, and wanted to learn about bicycle mechanics and repair. We started by working on our own bikes, and then noticed a need in the community for low cost, not for profit repairs. With a few of our friends, we created the self-sustaining club Urbana Cycles to meet this need.
