Service Policies

Urbana Cycles will not accept service jobs that will not repair the bike to a safe riding condition.

For a bike to be considered safe it must at least have…
Safe wheels (no bent rims, broken/bent spokes)
Working brakes
Structurally sound frame

Service Pricing:
Each service keeps the fixed cost listed, unless there is a further complication that prevents the service from being finished. In this case, work on the bike will stop until the customer is consulted.

Our Guarantee:
We are a student group, however, we do support the bikes we sell to raise money. If you decide you no longer want the bike you many return it to us for a full refund or replacement within 2 weeks (provided no damage occurred while you rode the bike). If something is not functioning correctly during the first month (30 days), we can fix it it possible or refund your money if the bike is not fixable (very rare). If the bike needs a tune up (cable adjustments) we will preform for free up to 6 months after purchase date. if you are contacting for any of the above reasons please include your name, phone number, and receipt umber in your email to us.

We would rather fix a problem than start one. If you ever have issues with our parts, bikes or service, please contact us and we will do our best to make it right. We want everybody to be happy and confident on their bikes.

IMPORTANT:
Urbana Cycles is a student organization, NOT a bike shop! We teach and repair – we are not professionals, just students who are passionate about bicycles. However, this does not mean we offer poor service. Also, we are not for profit, so the profits from all sales go towards funding the organization.

By purchasing a bicycle, service, or part from Urbana Cycles, you agree to the following terms:

Urbana Cycles is not responsible for personal injury or third party injury
caused by any person using our bicycles.

Urbana Cycles is also not responsible for damage to
any property caused by any person using our bicycles.

IF YOU THINK THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR BIKE THAT MAKES IT A DANGER TO THE RIDER OR OTHERS, LET US KNOW AND WE WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. IT IS BETTER TO FIX SOMETHING BEFORE IT BECOMES A PROBLEM THAN TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO GET HURT. YOU CAN FIX A BIKE EASIER THAN YOU CAN FIX YOUR BODY.
